I would like to offer my heartfelt condolences to the family and loved ones of Officer Mélanie Roy, who died in the course of her duties on Monday, September 7. She was a police officer with the City of Lévis in Quebec.
I would also like to extend my support to all of the young woman’s colleagues. As a former police officer, I am greatly saddened by this event. I know how hard it is for officers to lose one of their own. It is a terrible ordeal and my thoughts are with you all on this sad day.
